The Chantal Beanie is worked from the bottom up in the round. It begins with a double-folded brim in 1x1 rib, followed by the main section worked in a slip stitch pattern. The crown is shaped with decreases and can be finished in one of two ways: a twisted crown with six wedges or a classic crown with four wedges, depending on your preference.
Sizes:
Sizes:
1 (2) 3
The Chantal Beanie is designed with approx. 10 cm [4 in] of negative ease. This means the finished hat will be about 10 cm [4 in] smaller than your actual head circumference.
Sizes 1 (2) 3 are designed to fit a head circumference of 54–56 (56–58) 58–60 cm [21¼–22 (22–22¾) 22¾–23½ in].
Before you begin, measure your head to determine the correct size. For example, if your head circumference is 57 cm [22½ in], you should knit size 2.If you are between sizes, choose the size based on how snug or relaxed you prefer your hat to fit.
