The brown sweater is made with Cashmere Classic col.643 & col.518 & col.623 by Cardiff [SIZE M].
The white sweater is made with Como Cashmere col.00 & col.52 & Como col.11 by Lamana [SIZE M].

The Chantal Polo is worked top-down in a slip stitch pattern. It begins with the collar, which is worked flat with short rows, followed by increases for shaping. The back is then worked flat, with increases to shape the shoulders. Stitches are picked up along the sloped edges of the back, and the right and left front sections are worked separately, with increases to shape the neckline. The pieces are then joined, and the yoke is worked flat to create the edges for the button bands, while simultaneously increasing for the sleeves and along the raglan lines. Next, the button bands are worked in double knitting, after which the yoke is joined to work in the round. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold, underarm stitches are cast on, and the body is worked in the round. Finally, the sleeve stitches are returned to the needles, stitches are picked up at the underarms, and the sleeves are worked in the round with decreases.

Size guide:

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) 55-59 in].

The Chantal Polo has a relaxed fit and is designed with approximately 10–20 cm [4–8 in] of positive ease in sizes XS–XL, decreasing to approximately 3–14 cm [1¼–5½ in] in sizes 2XL–5XL, depending on your bust circumference and chosen size. Measure your body before you begin to choose the size that fits best. For example, if your bust, or the widest part of your upper body, measures 95 cm [37½ in], you should knit a size M. The finished garment for size M is 109 cm [43 in], which gives approx. 14 cm [5½ in] of positive ease.

Measurements:

Circumference: 100 (105) 109 (114) 120 (124) 133 (144) 153 cm [39¼ (41¼) 43 (45) 47¼ (48¾) 52¼ (56¾) 60¼ in]
Back length (excl. collar): 55 (56) 57 (58) 59 (60) 62 (64) 66 cm [21¾ (22) 22½ (22¾) 23¼ (23½) 24½ (25¼) 26 in]Note that the finished measurements can only be achieved if you maintain the correct gauge throughout the project.

Gauge:

26 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 in] in slip stitch pattern on 4 mm [US 6] needles.
52 sts x 64 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 in] in double knitting on 3 mm [US 2½] needles.
Note: The stated gauge accounts for both layers of double knitting. The visible stitch and row count for each layer is half of the stated amount = 26 sts x 32 rows.Swatches are measured after washing and blocking. Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.

Suggested needles:

4 mm [US 6] circular needles 40 cm and 80 or 100 cm [16 and 32 or 40 in], and double-pointed needles unless the Magic Loop technique is used.
2 x 3 mm [US 2½] circular needles 100 cm [40 in] (and 1 x 80 cm [32 in] if not using 100 cm needles for the body), and double-pointed needles.
