The Mia Blouse is worked top-down in stockinette stitch. It begins with the neck, which is worked flat, and then increases are made for shaping. The yoke is worked back and forth, with German short rows to shape the neckline, followed by increases for the shoulders, sleeves, and raglan lines. Then, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold, underarm stitches are cast on, and the body is worked flat to create the front edges for the button bands. Next, the button bands are worked separately in double knitting and joined to the front edges as they are worked, with buttonholes placed along the right button band. The button bands are then joined together, and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Finally, the sleeve stitches are placed back on the needles, underarm stitches are picked up, and the sleeves are worked in the round with decreases.

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) 55-59 in].

The Mia Blouse has a relaxed fit and is designed to have approx. 5-10 cm [2-4 in] of positive ease, depending on your bust circumference. This means the garment’s measurements will be approx. 5-10 cm [2-4 in] larger than your bust circumference, depending on the size. Measure your body before you begin to choose the size that fits best. For example, if your bust, or the widest part of your upper body, measures 95 cm [37½ in], you should knit a size M. The finished garment for size M is 100 cm [39¼ in], which gives approx. 5 cm [2 in] of positive ease.

Swatches are measured after washing and blocking. Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.

Suggested needles:
